Two Health care Assistants needed for a lovely young man with learning difficulties. Our client is not mobile and he uses a wheelchair, which requires hoisting in and out bed. The hours are in the morning 7am -8:30am and evenings 4:30pm -7:30pm (till 8:30pm on Mondays). Saturday, 10am -3:30pm and Sunday, 3pm – 4:30pm. The shifts are double-handed, and the client requires personal care. The potential staff will also be allocated to other shifts to make up for their weekly hour of 37.5 hour/week.
Are you the right person for the job?
- Full UK Driving License (Essential)
- UK Resident only (Essential)
- Possess good communication and interpersonal skills
- Be flexible to work a variety of hours including weekends
- Be able to adhere to all health and safety, and company policies
- Live within a commutable distance
- Role is suited for individuals that prefer both flexible hours or set shifts
What will your role as a Domiciliary Home Care Worker look like?
- To carry out and undertake specific, personal care and light housework which will provide good quality of health and well-being for our service users
- To support service users with shopping, hospital appointments and food prep
- To contribute, develop and implement service users’ individual care plans
- To work flexibly and meet service users’ support needs
- To communicate effectively and professionally with family and advocates
- To actively talk and actively listen to service users
- To work efficiently and professionally within the policies, procedures, aims and objectives of the company
- To complete induction and mandatory training when necessary
- Commit yourself to developing skills and knowledge as identified by you, your line manager and your colleagues
- To be person-centred in all aspects of your role
