Health Care Assistant Job summary
Exciting opportunity for a Cardiac Health Care Assistant post on a busy cardiac ward.
Roding Ward is based in the Essex Cardiothoracic Centre on the Basildon Hospital site and is the base for the Essex Heart Attack Service covering Essex, Suffolk and London borders. Roding Ward provides care for patients with acute cardiac conditions and as a Health Care Assistant your role will to support the skilled registered nurses.
We are looking for Cardiac Health Care Assistant who have NHS or care experience and are looking to forward their career in health care or individuals who have experience of working with the public and are interested in developing a career in the NHS.
Training and support is provided by the ward through access to learning, and development but it is important that you are a caring and kind person with a genuine desire to help and support patients and their families. If this sounds like you, then this could be the right time for you join us. As you progress in your NHS career you will acquire the knowledge, skills and confidence you need to provide safe and compassionate patient care.

Health Care Assistant Main Duties
As a Cardiac Health Care Assistant you will be a hugely valuable support to our Nursing and Midwifery teams providing care to our patients. Every day will be different and you will work alongside the rest of the team carrying out a wide range of tasks and assisting with care to support the needs of the patients and their families.
