Learning Disability Health Care Assistant Job Overview

Ashby House seeks the services of Band 3 Health care assistant. Ahby House is a Nurse led health-based respite unit for adults with a learning disability and a complex health need and/or complex behaviours. We operate on a 24 hour a day, 7 days a week basis.

We are a 7 bed unit which is purpose built to accommodate the needs of the individuals that attend the service, based in the Nuneaton countryside.

We also provide a health based day service, The Lodge, which is situated on the same site.

The individuals that attend both services present with a wide range of cognitive and physical disabilities and require support with aspects of daily living- including social activities and managing health conditions. We strive as a service to promote independence and the rights of individuals and ensure that meeting an individual’s needs is our main priority.

Health Care Assistant Main Duties

The successful Health Care Assistant applicant must be a well-motivated and enthusiastic individual, who is passionate about person centred and holistic care and contributing towards improved health outcomes for adults with a learning disability.
