An exciting health care assistant opportunity has become available to to join our nurse-lead team on Tudno Ward, Ysbyty Gwynedd. Tudno Ward is a busy forward thinking unit which has 30 inpatient beds, focusing primarily on safe and effective discharge of day case elective surgery.

The health care assistant is for permanent healthcare support worker with part time hours available. To work on the ward, it will involve rotation onto night duty; the ability to have a flexible approach to working hours is essential.

The post holder will support the trained nurse and other health care professionals in the delivery of the highest standard of patient focused care. They will assist in improving the quality of the fundamental aspects of Health and Social Care for individuals who are acutely or chronically ill, frail or disabled.

Applicants must have experience with working in healthcare.

 

Health Care Assistant Main duties of the job

The health care assistant will assist the registered nurse in carrying out direct nursing care.

The health care assistant will  perform patient observations: temperature, blood pressure, pulse, oxygen saturation, blood glucose and urinalysis following a period of on-job instruction and training.

The health care assistant will undertake delegated duties related to patient care that contributes to the ongoing support of patients.

The health care assistant will  speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
