Health Care Assistant Job Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated Health Care assistant to join us on our 18 bedded acute Surgical Assessment Unit – Ward D8. The successful applicant will be expected to work to our high standards of patient care and service delivery. We provide a comprehensive training package in a supporting and welcoming environment.

Our multidisciplinary team, deliver care for patients who are undergoing surgical, urology procedures, In addition, we run our assessment unit which takes direct from GP, Master call and run a Clinic Monday-Friday to support our ongoing services such as A+E and GP services.

Health Care Assistant Main duties

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, has excellent communication skills, aspire’s to delivering high quality care, works collaboratively with all members of the MDT, delivers patient-centered care with dignity and respect, and demonstrates a high level of compassion for all patients.

The post holder will provide support to the registered nurse in the delivery of patient care. and work collaboratively within our dedicated multi-disciplinary teams, assisting and promoting the patients independence.

You will be fully involved in an individual’s care from admission to discharge, assisting with patient hygiene and dressing, feeding, maintaining dignity and respect, keeping the environment clean and tidy and keeping good documentation.

Ward D8 also provides excellent training and development opportunities in a friendly and supportive environment., with career progression offered.
