This health care assistant position is full time, you will receive an annual salary up to £27195 per annum – depending on experience.

This is a position within the clinical substance misuse service, but may require some additional primary care duties from time to time, in line with training and experience. There will be no requirement to work nights but alternate weekends will be required.

Main duties of the job

As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will

  • Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care
  • Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Qualifications required  

  • NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
  • A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Good IT skills and IT literacy
  • Ability to work within a busy environment
  • Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures

Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment
