Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic individual to join our team on Glyder Ward ( Cardiology ) within Ysbyty Gwynedd on a part time permanent basis. Glyder ward is a 18 bedded Cardiology ward, with hard working staff who strive to provide high standards of care to our patients.



Main duties of the job

Applicants must have an approachable manner necessary to deal with patients and their relatives and desirable experience of a hospital environment. Applicants will work as part of a team of nurses on the ward and undertake patient fundamentals of nursing care tasks under the direct or indirect supervision of a Registered General Nurse responsible for the patient’s management.

If successful in the interview, the individual will work alongside a supportive team on Glyder ward. This role can be challenging at times, however you will be working as part of a well established team.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Person Specification

Aptitude and Abilities


  • Ability to speak Welsh



  • Basic numeracy, verbal and literacy skills
  • Level 2 NVQ/QCF in health and social care or equivalent experience within a health or care environment


  • Completion of all Wales Induction Framework



  • Experience required to fulfil the requirements of the post.
  • Experience of dealing with the public within a health or care environment


  • Previous clinical experience
