Detailed job description and main responsibilities

We are looking for candidates with a desire to provide compassionate support and care, good communication skills, a flexible approach and enthusiasm to work within the team.

Main duties include:

Admitting patients and recording their vital signs.
Escorting patients to theatres.
Working as part of the Eye Theatres Theatre Team.

Qualifications

Essential criteria

Successful completion of Trust’s Band 2 Developmental Passport or ability to demonstrate equivalent level of competence

Desirable criteria

QCF level 2 or Level 3 in Health or Health and Social Care
Care Certificate
T Level in Health

Experience

Essential criteria

Experience as Health Care Assistant within an acute hospital environment or equivalent setting

Desirable criteria

Previous experience of working within relevant specialty

Skills

Essential criteria

Demonstrates the ability to communicate clearly and effectively
