Health Care Assistant Job Role:
- Delivering personalised care and unwavering support to clients within the comfort of their own homes, aligning with their individualised care plans.
- Assisting clients in their daily routines, encompassing bathing, dressing, toileting, and other essential activities.
- Skillfully preparing nourishing meals and providing aid during mealtimes, if necessary.
- Extending support to clients for their mobility and transfer needs, utilising appropriate manual handling equipment whenever required.
- Diligently administering medications to clients, strictly adhering to their care plans and our medication policies.
- Vigilantly monitoring and promptly reporting any changes in clients’ overall health and well-being to the care manager or other healthcare professionals.
- Engaging clients in social activities and facilitating outings, as deemed appropriate and outlined in their care plans.
- Maintaining meticulous and up-to-date records of the care services rendered, including detailed daily logs and comprehensive medication records.
- Fostering a collaborative environment with fellow care team members to ensure the delivery of top-notch care services to all clients.
- Consistently upholding health and safety protocols and procedures to safeguard the well-being of clients and colleagues alike.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Although prior experience in a caregiving role is advantageous, it is not a mandatory requirement as comprehensive training will be provided.
- A compassionate and empathetic nature, driven by a genuine passion for providing support and care to others.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, adept at establishing rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Displaying both independent initiative and teamwork capabilities, adapting to various situations seamlessly.
- Demonstrating strong problem-solving acumen, swiftly identifying issues and taking appropriate actions.
- Embracing a proactive attitude towards ongoing training and development, as necessitated by the role.
