About the Role:
We are looking for compassionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as Health Care Support Workers. In this role, you will support individuals in their daily activities, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life while ensuring they receive the best possible care.
You will work closely with healthcare professionals, assisting with a range of tasks in various healthcare settings such as hospitals, care homes, or home care environments. Your role will involve both physical and emotional support to patients, making a real difference in their lives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care to patients, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and toileting.
- Support with mobility and physical therapy exercises as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Help patients with feeding, ensuring they receive proper nutrition and hydration.
- Assist with medical procedures under the supervision of nurses or doctors.
- Monitor and record patient progress, including vital signs and symptoms.
- Offer companionship and emotional support, ensuring patients’ mental well-being.
- Work collaboratively with the healthcare team, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
- Adhere to all health and safety protocols and infection control standards.
Skills and Experience:
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting is desirable but not essential. Full training will be provided.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with patients and families.
- Empathetic, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and evenings as required.
- Basic understanding of healthcare procedures and regulations (training provided).
