Health Care Therapy Assistant Main Duties
As a Therapy Assistant Practitioner, you will:
- Undertake assessments and treatments for non-complex orthopaedic patients, carrying your own caseload under supervision.
- Devise and implement treatment programmes, enabling patients to achieve their rehabilitation goals.
- Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to support timely patient discharge.
- Conduct home visits to assess discharge needs and provide necessary equipment.
- Mentor and train Band 2 and 3 therapy assistants and support therapy students.
- Participate in the provision of 7-day therapy services as required.
This role will involve working across both Peterborough City Hospital and Hinchingbrooke Hospital, providing inpatient therapy services for elective and trauma orthopaedic patients.
