Health Care Worker Job Purpose:

To deliver high-quality, compassionate, and person-centred care to adults in their own homes. The health care worker role involves assisting with personal care, medication, mobility, nutrition, and social support, promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing in accordance with each individual’s care plan and CQC standards.

Health Care Worker Key Duties and Responsibilities:
‍♀️ Personal Care and Daily Living:
Support with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, toileting, and grooming.

Assist with mobility and use of appropriate moving and handling equipment.

Promote independence and dignity at all times.

Medication Support:
Administer or prompt medication as outlined in care plans and medication administration records (MAR).

Follow safe medication procedures and report any concerns promptly.

️ Nutrition and Mealtime Support:
Assist with meal preparation and feeding where required.

Monitor nutritional intake and report any changes or concerns.

Household Tasks:
Support with light domestic tasks, such as laundry, cleaning, and shopping.

Help maintain a clean and safe home environment.

Emotional and Social Support:
Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.

Encourage participation in hobbies, community involvement, and maintaining family connections.

Monitoring and Documentation:
Accurately complete care records and daily logs.

Report changes in health or wellbeing to supervisors in a timely manner.

Safeguarding and Compliance:
Follow safeguarding procedures and uphold the highest standards of care.

Adhere to all company policies and CQC requirements.

Attend training and supervisions regularly.

Essential Requirements:
Genuine passion for caring for others.

Good level of spoken and written English.

Willingness to complete training (including the Care Certificate).

Professional, patient, and respectful attitude.

Right to work in the UK (visa sponsorship available for eligible candidates).

Desirable:
Previous experience in domiciliary care or a care home.

NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).

Driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred for community roles).
