We are looking for compassionate and committed healthcare assistants in Preston, who are passionate about delivering the highest quality one-to-one care for our service user, building positive relationships with them and their family while enabling them to live as independently as possible in her home

Our service user is a charming teenage boy who lives with his family in Preston and requires support throughout the night to support his complex care needs.

He particularly loves going on walks and exploring his favourite activities with his family, friends, and care team and throughout the day enjoys attending school.

When at home he likes to relax and spend time playing on his PlayStation and watching the football.

 

Main duties of the job

Throughout the night you will provide support with his personal care, repositioning, attending to his clinical care needs when required and providing a peaceful environment to promote a restful nights sleep.

Our service user loves the engagement and interaction with his care team and can communicate and express his needs and wants.

Our service user has specifically requested for female staff to work on their team.

We have the following shifts available;

  • Full Time or Part Time Nights
  • 2 – 4 shifts per week
  • 9:30pm- 7:00am
  • Alternate Weekends are needed for this position

Weeknights: £15.00 per hour – (£135 approx. per 9-hour shift)

Weekends: £15.50 per hour – (£139.50 approx. per 9-hour shift)

Bank Holiday: £17.50 per hour – (£157.50 approx. per 9-hour shift)

Job description

Job responsibilities

The role of a Healthcare Assistant (HCA) is to work without direct supervision in the home of the service user providing care and support including personal, social, and domestic support whilst adhering to the service users individual care and support plan.

The aim of the position is to enable service users to remain safely in their own home with as much independence as possible.

Alongside providing care and support in a professional, discreet, and caring manner, always ensuring the service users right to privacy and dignity is maintained
