We are looking for a competent community care support worker to provide support for people living in their own homes. Nayland Care offers community care services to adults in various locations across Suffolk. The value of care workers was recognised during the Covid-19 pandemic and although it can be a demanding job, it can also be very satisfying and rewarding.

The ideal candidate will be living in Saxmundham or within close surrounding areas. We will offer sponsorship to successful candidates ONLY if you live within Saxmundham or if you are willing to travel to the area from close surrounding areas. We will not proceed with any relocation applications at this stage.

The ideal candidate will have at least 1 year experience in care work (whether this be in a care home or community-based care). You should be able and confident to drive in the UK with access to your own vehicle. You should possess great communication skills, be friendly and approachable in nature.

Responsibilities:

· Assisting people to take their medication

· Assisting people with their personal care needs

· Assisting people with mobility and access to the community when required

· Supporting people to follow prescribed exercise regimes to aid recovery from injury

· Supporting people with their shopping

· Undertaking light housework duties

· Providing companionship to people whilst maintaining professional boundaries

· Be able to respond to emergency situations such as falls/sudden illness

· To be able to complete factual, thorough daily care records and incident reports

· Liaising with colleagues to ensure that care and support plans are being achieved.
