Job Summary
We are recruiting for a student midwife to join our Maternity services at the Royal London Hospital.
This 2-year Postgraduate Diploma in Midwifery aims to produce competent, caring, research and evidence-based midwives, capable of delivering effective woman-centred care for mothers and their families within these contexts.
Midwives of the 21st century practice within dynamic, rapidly changing and diverse contexts and require personal, academic and professional skills to practice in an optimum way.
During the 2-year course, time will be split between the London South Bank University Southwark and The Royal London Hospital, Barts Health NHS Trust, Whitechapel, E1 1FR.

Main duties of the job
In order to apply for the course, you will have:
- Active Adult Nursing Registration (NMC Registration)
- A Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 2:2: with a minimum qualification of Diploma in Higher Education with evidence of study at Level 6
- Proven post registration experience
- GCSE Maths and English or equivalencies or IELTS 7
Students applying for this funded training post (mid-point band 5 salary), should note that this training grant will also include University tuition fees of £9250 per annum.
