We have an exciting opportunity for a Health care Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP Leicester, a catergory B prison located in Leicestershire
Hours
The site currently offers Monday – Sunday with a variety of shifts.
Salary
This position is full time, youll receive an annual salary up to £27,195 per annum – depending on experience.

Main duties of the job
As a Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. You will
- Support the registered nurse in implementing an agreed plan of care in association with the patient and in accordance with instructions and training received whilst promoting safe patient care
- Be willing to develop and apply new skills to maintain and enhance clinical service delivery.

Health care assistant Qualifications required
- NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
- A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Good IT skills and IT literacy
- Ability to work within a busy environment
- Ability to work unsupervised whilst following policy and procedures
Although not essential ideal applicants would have experience in a hospital, community or prison environment
