Job summary

We have a exciting opportunity for a Health care Assistant to join our Primary Care team at HMP New Hall. HMP New Hall is a Closed Category prison for female adults, juveniles and young offenders located in Flockton, West Yorkshire. The site consists of departments offering healthcare support across primary care, mental health, substance misuse, pharmacy, psychology & psychiatry, opticians, podiatry, physiotherapy, dental services and a management and admin function.

This is a crucial health care assistant role within the healthcare team, making a real difference to patients, and delivering outstanding care.

Hours:

This is a full time role, working 37.5 hours per week, usually 3 long shifts.

Salary:

This position is full time an youll receive an annual salary up to £27,195 per annum depending on experience.    How will we support you?

Main duties of the job

As our new Healthcare Assistant, your responsibilities will vary. Some of your duties will include:

• Provide outstanding quality based care to all patients
• Deliver personalised, non judgemental care, based on patient feedback
• Contribute to, and implement care packages, assist with health promotion, wellbeing and clinics
• Support the nursing and pharmacy teams in primary care on the wings and healthcare centres

Our new Healthcare Assistant Will Have:

• NVQ level 2/3 or equivalent in Health and Social Care
• A non-judgmental and compassionate approach
