An opportunity has occurred for a health care assistant to join the highly motivated District Nursing Service in the Anglesey locality. The role will involve the successful candidate supporting the district nursing team to care for those living in the community who require nursing care. Rotational post to cover both day and night duties.Applicants should be enthusiastic with an awareness of and committed to the modernisation of the service. They should be able to work well within a team and also alone.You must be able to travel between patients homes both within towns and rural areas in a timely manner.The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
Health Care Assistant Main duties
The health care assistant will assist registered nurses/practitioners to deliver care to patients/clients, working in partnership with other health care professionals, the patient their family and carers.
Deliver patient care as documented in the nursing care plan. Carry out a wide range of duties under the direction of a registered nurse for the period of the shift.

- Good general education.
- Qualification Credit Framework Level 111 (in Care / Health & Social Care) or working towards
- Knowledge of consent and patient confidentiality
- Understanding of role and function of Primary Health Care team

- Evidence of completion of QCF at Level 2
- Have an understanding of role and function of Health Services
- Understanding of risk management and health and safety issues
Experience

- Previous/current role to demonstrate working with members of the public in a health care setting
