Health Care Assistant Job summary

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic  health care assistant who is passionate about working within the area of Acute respiratory care . ARCU/EMCU is a 26 bedded unit , looking for Health Care Assistant who must demonstrate a high level of communication skills within a multidisciplinary environment and want to continue to develop within the specialist area of respiratory care unit.

The successful health care assistant candidate will:

– Gain experience in caring for complex patients with a variety of Respiratory conditions

– Have excellent opportunities to develop skills in physical and cognitive rehabilitation, within an efficient and clinically effective Respiratory care

-Have the opportunity to be involved in ongoing development of the service and participate in our in-house training programme.

We are looking for candidate who:

Are hardworking, adaptable, possess high-level communications skills, initiative and self-motivation.

Essential

  • Experience of direct adult patient care in Health/social care setting
  • Evidence of Team working abilities
  • Proven ability to work unsupervised
  • Caring, motivated, reliable and trustworthy individua
  • Awareness of issues surrounding diversity and anti-discriminatory practice

Desirable

  • Relevant clinical competencies eg Measuring Vital Signs, catheter care, personal care, Documentation.
  • Evidence of continuous personal development
  • Understanding of Deprivation of Liberty
