  • Post 2: Senior Occupational Therapist – Flexible Care and Support Team. Based in Bury St Edmunds, covering the West locality. 
  • Post 3: Senior Practitioner Occupational Therapist – Learning Disability and Autism Service. County wide with negotiable base.

When you join the Adult Social Care service as an Occupational Therapist, you will carry out high-quality assessments of adults’ physical, psychological and environmental needs, and explore creative options to promote independence, wellbeing and choice.

Appointing you as an Occupational Therapist at either:

  • Newly Qualified (Grade 5) level at £34,834 per annum (rising to experienced after completion of the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE).
  • Experienced (Grade 5) level at £35,745 – £38,223 per annum.
  • Senior (Grade 6) level at £38,925 – £44,305 per annum.
  • Senior Practitioner (Grade 6) level at £41,077 – £44,305 per annum.

You will need:

A relevant Occupational Therapy qualification and an HCPC registration.

The teams

Integrated/Neighbourhood Teams are multidisciplinary teams that are working towards offering a seamless health and social care service to customers with long term needs in a locality. This is a time of service development and there are lots of opportunities to explore new ideas and ways of working to develop the occupational therapy service and practise.

The Flexible Care and Support Team is an innovative multidisciplinary team that work flexibly across the West locality responding to emerging demand across the Hospital to Home Team and Neighbourhood teams, as well as supporting discharges from Addenbrookes Hospital, Wedgewood Unit, Continuing Healthcare and Adult Safeguarding

The Learning Disability and Autism Service provide a specialist service for adults with learning disabilities and autism across Suffolk with exciting opportunities to develop and expand the relatively new occupational therapy offer within this service.
