Job summary
Senior Health care assistants are fundamental to the delivery of integrated care, working collaboratively with therapy, medical and nursing staff to support and facilitate the treatment of patients within their own homes.
The Adult Bladder and Bowel senior health care assistant will work as a member of the Adult Bladder and Bowel Specialist Service to provide a high quality and effective service to patients referred into the service for the management of bladder and bowel issues.

Main duties of the job
The senior health care assistant will care for patients with bladder or bowel dysfunction and will support the work of the team in assessing and reassessing the continence needs of patients. They will be involved in helping patients manage continence issues, including, but not limited to, identification of an appropriate containment products for people with continence issues, bladder scanning, urinalysis and advice on skin care products.
