Therapy Assistant Job Summary
The Therapy Assistant will be supporting the team by visiting people at home as part of their rehabilitation from hospital discharge.

Therapy Assistant Main duties
A clinical role supporting the team by visiting people at home.
This may include reviewing a patient with a team member, providing equipment after a colleague has assessed, helping a patient relearn how to do a functional task with guidance or helping a patient to complete their exercise programme provided by a colleague, amongst other tasks.

Job criteria
Essential
- Experience of working with people in the community.
- Good communications skills both written and verbal.
- To be able to work under pressure and be flexible.
- Secondary level education to GCSE/O level or NVQ 3 or equivalent with experience of working as a Rehabilitation Assistant with demonstration of related competencies
- Previous experience or knowledge of health & rehabilitation.
- Hold a full, valid, UK driving licence and have access to a car to use for business purposes (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010)
Desirable
- Working for the NHS and within the community.
- Experience working with the elderly and/or disabled.
- SystmOne knowledge.
