Day services health care assistant role to work with clients who have severe learning disabilities and complex physical health needs. The staff within the service are employed by Tees, Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking to recruit a caring, enthusiastic and compassionate individual to join the service as a Health Care Assistant/trainee
The successful applicant will have recent experience within a care role and will understand the needs of individuals with Learning Disabilities. You will have excellent communication skills and be calm, confident and resilient in your approach. You will be able to form therapeutic relationships with individuals with complex learning disabilities and ensure that you work as an advocate at all times, ensuring the residents voice is heard.
Main duties of the job
You will join a team of highly skilled and committed individuals ensuring that person centred and holistic care is provided at all times.
We provide a person centered activity plan which incorporates activities within the local community such as walks, swimming, theatre/ cinema visits, restaurants and theme parks
We are looking to recruit an individual who is able to drive and who is willing to undertake further training to enable them to drive the home minibus, thus supporting the residents on social outings.
