Job summary

We are looking for band 3 health care assistants for Acute Cardiology at the new MMUH hospital. The 32 bedded coronary care unit has patients with a variety of acute cardiac conditions. We also care for patients pre and post cardiac procedures such as angioplasty/pacemaker insertion.

 

Main duties of the Health Care Assistant

Committed to delivering first class care to our patients and their families, we can offer dynamic and enthusiastic practitioners the benefits of working on a busy Coronary Care Unit, caring for patients with a variety of acute and chronic cardiac conditions.

The NHS Health Care Assistant  will be supported within your ‘mentor team’ in developing your new role

Health Care Assistant

Experience

Essential

  • Previous NHS experience working in a hospital or other heath care environment.

Desirable

  • competent in venepuncture and cannulation

Qualifications

Essential

  • Key skills – literacy and numeric (or equivalent)
  • NVQ Level 2/3 In Direct Care/Post Natal Care/Diagnostics and Therapeutics.
